MSRG research proposals

We are glad to announce that we received 5 research proposals competing for the 3 research grants offered by the Society of care and friends of GIT patients. The proposals will be evaluated by a joint committee of the funding society and FOCUS trainers and the final results will be announced in the closure ceremony of the MSRG within few weeks. Find below a full list of the proposals under consideration. Good luck for all.


Title: Violence against Egyptian woman
Authors: Arwa Mohamad El sayed Shabana  and Reem Mohsen Elsayed Esmael
Aim: Perform Egyptian community based study to understand aspects of violence against women its prevalence and understand violence from Egyptian women's' cultural point of view. Prevalence of different types of violence against Egyptian woman. Most common Form of violence against women in the Egyptian community. Frequency of women's exposure to various types of violence.





Title: Chronic HCV infection as A risk factor for developing pancreatic cancer "A retrospective Cohort Study"
Authors: Ali. A. Mowafy and Amr H. Metwally
Aim: Studying impact of Chronic HCV infection on developing Pancreatic cancer.
What is the effect of Chronic HCV infection as A risk factor for developing Pancreatic cancer ?




Title: Multifactorial Influences of Medical Students' Life Behaviors on their Academic Achievement, "Mansoura Faculty of Medicine based Survey".
Author: Mohamed Adel Mokhtar Abd El Raheim
Aim: Declaring the factors affecting Academic achievement between Mansoura medical students. Better understanding the best ways for success, and avoiding bad influences that may decrease the academic performance of these students. Helping younger medical students to consider early the challenges and obstacles they may face and how to do their best to avoid negative effects on their success process.



Title: Untreated lower urinary symptoms: A community-based study of prevalence and quality of life among the Egyptian population
Authors: Mohammed Elawady, Ahmed Elsaeed Sobhy and Alyaa Mohammed Ghoneem
Aim: Studying the prevalence of LUTS and its impact on the quality of life in the Egyptian population and comparing it with studies published from different communities.






Title: Knowledge and attitude among Pediatricians Towards ADHD in Egypt
Author: Mohamed Mahmoud Elmowafi
Aim: To investigate the knowledge and attitude of pediatrician towards ADHD and the influence of various factors on the knowledge of it , equip them with adequate knowledge to help them identify their role in the management and to support the children with good quality of life including improved social and academic performance.
