Egyptian Liver Research Institute and  Hospital (ELRIAH) offers 16 scholarships to attend its second basic surgical skills course delivered by FOCUS trainers.

Continuous medical education (CME) is one of the fundamental values of modern medicine. It
ensures that any health service provider has the sound knowledge and skills needed to deal with
one of the most delicate and sacred entities on Earth, the human body. These knowledge and
skills should always be monitored, refreshed and updated to ensure the highest level of
competence possible. CME can provide all of these if it is given its due attention.

Egyptian Liver Research Institute and  Hospital (ELRIAH) is planning to play a vital role in providing health care providers with CME opportunities. Its highly sophisticated infrastructure on both levels of human
resources and expertise in addition to logistic support enable ELRIAH to provide high quality CME
activities not just to its local vicinity but also on the national scale.

Methodology:

All sessions are designed to be trainee friendly, interactive, practical, and depending on self-learning.
A pre and posttest is designed to evaluate the level of progress the course is
contributing to the trainees’ knowledge. These tests are anonymous and its results are calculated
collectively.

Course History

This course was carried out 2 times in 2013 at the Gastroenterology Surgical Center (GEC) - Mansoura University and once in ELRIAH click here for details of the previous course.

20 km Mansoura- Sherbeen - Damietta high way
( free transportation is offered during the 2 days from and to Mansoura)

Trainees:

16 trainees of Mansoura faculty of Medicine interns and undergraduates will be offered a scholarship by ELRIAH to participate in this course.
Post-graduates can participate but they will pay course fees of 300 LE.
